Songfacts®:

  • This song borrows from a number by '70s Southern Soul singer Ann Peebles. The Big Pink pair of Robbie Furze and Milo Cordell cut it up and put a delay on the sample.
  • Cordell told Spin magazine about this track: "It's a song about being in a relationship where one of the people is holding something back. I guess I write a majority of the lyrics, but those are screened and edited pretty heavily by Robbie. As he's singing it, he really gets into the phonetics."
