Songfacts®:

  • Running to 2 minutes 58 seconds, the uptempo "Galactic Sun" is arguably the most commercial track on the 2017 Beyond The Pain Barrier album. As Jon Mikl Thor explained: "I'm a big Beatles fan. I like writing melodic songs. I have quite an archive of songs that are four chords, very commercial that don't always work with Thor."

It remains to be seen which Beatles track might have inspired it, but "Galactic Sun" was written by Thor, composed by him with band members John Leibel and Frank Soda, and like the rest of the album, the eighth track is published by Vulcan Sky Music/Vulcan Sky Entertainment Group. >>
