Dutch DJ Tiesto teamed up with American R&B crooner John Legend for this summery floor filler. "We wanted to make a record that mixed the energy from my club tracks with his amazing soulful take on pop music and I'm really happy with the result," said Tiesto. "This record is definitely a bit of a musical departure for me but it was important to us that the end result really emphasize John's funky soul vibe."
The song marks the second collaboration between Tiesto and Legend. They previously joined forces in 2014 to create a remix for Legend's hit single, "All Of Me."
Filmed in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, the cameras highlight the city's rich culture and nightlife. Legend also makes a cameo as a sort of singing mural on the buildings.
"It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" was inspired by a dream where Michael Stipe conjured up images of people with the initials L.B.: Lester Bangs, Leonid Breshnev, Lenny Bruce and Leonard Bernstein.
