  "Tinashe did an incredible job writing it," Disco Lines told Billboard. "You can feel that [group of girls] energy when you listen. Everyone's had an ex hit them back and you're like, 'Stop banging my line.' Everyone can relate - even me as a guy. The lyrics are so strong."
• Disco Lines took Tinashe's sultry original and sent it straight to the dance floor, cranking up the BPM, adding a rush of bright synths, and infusing it with his signature feel-good bounce. The revamped track first blew up after he dropped it during his EDC Las Vegas 2025 set in May.
  
  "I played it at EDC, and then I played the collab in San Diego, and every time, everyone jumped," Disco Lines told Billboard. "So I was like, 'Tinashe, check this s–t out.' Then a bunch of people kept using it on the internet, and it just gained momentum."
  
  Tinashe was instantly on board. "Yeah, it popped off," she laughed. "I saw the initial edit at EDC, that little clip, and I was like, 'Well, this is f–king great.' I just wanted to build it out into something super impactful."
  
  The two began working remotely, with Tinashe heading into the studio to re-record parts of her vocals to make the final cut, as she put it, "super crispy and super new and fresh." Once the remix started taking off online, the pair, both based in Los Angeles, finally linked up in person to shoot photo and video content. "That was when the final version really came together," Tinashe said.
