Songfacts®:

  • Vocalist Alex Trimble sings on this brutal break-up song: "There is no time for wasting any time. This is the end of the line." Bassist Kevin Baird commented to NME that he believes the tune could soundtrack "a massive Tarantino fight scene."
  • Beacon was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Jacknife Lee in his home studios. This was the last track to be fully finished after lead guitarist Sam Halliday had returned home and Kevin Baird had gone off on holiday. Trimble wrote the lyrics during an American road trip before coming back into the studio the day before he went home and recording the song.
