  • "I wore a shirt one day with a machine gun silhouette sporting a rainbow clip. Gun guy flipped over it and asked me where I got it."

The artist Robert Jones was wearing a T-shirt portraying a machine gun with a rainbow clip to an auction when "gun guy" - often the high bidder on weapons and related items - took notice. Jones told this story to Jack White in an email, and White lifted the lyrics for his song "Machine Gun Silhouette."
