  • Oh thinkin' about all our younger years
There was only you and me
We were young and wild and free

Now nothin' can take you away from me
We've been down that road before
    But that's over now
You keep me comin' back for more

Baby, you're all that I want
When you're lyin' here in my arms
I'm findin' it hard to believe
    We're in heaven

And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart
It isn't too hard to see
    We're in heaven

Oh once in your life you find someone
Who will turn your world around
Bring you up when you're feelin' down

Yeah nothin' could change what you mean to me
Oh there's lots that I could say
    But just hold me now
'Cause our love will light the way

And baby, you're all that I want
When you're lyin' here in my arms
I'm findin' it hard to believe
    We're in heaven

Yeah and love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart
It isn't too hard to see
    We're in heaven, yeah

I've been waitin' for so long
    For somethin' to arrive
    For love to come along

Now our dreams are comin' true
Through the good times and the bad
Yeah I'll be standin' there by you

And baby, you're all that I want
When you're lyin' here in my arms
I'm findin' it hard to believe
    We're in heaven

And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart
It isn't too hard to see
    We're in heaven, heaven, oooh

    You're all that I want
You're all that I need Writer/s: Bryan Adams, James Douglas Vallance

  • Jon from New Orleans, La One of Bryan’s best songs of ‘84. When I hear this song today it reminds me of one of the greatest seasons of my life. A high school senior in 1984 in love with a beautiful blonde.
  • Barry from Sauquoit, NyOn May 25, 1985, a video of Bryan Adams' "Heaven" was aired on the Dick Clark ABC-TV network Saturday-afternoon program 'American Bandstand'...
At the time the song was at #12 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, four weeks later it would peak at #1 {for 2 weeks} and it spent 19 weeks on the Top 100...
It almost made the Top 10 in his native Canada, on July 13th it peaked at #11 {for 2 weeks} on the RPM Weekly Singles chart...
On the Hot Top 100 chart the year 1985 was a very good one for Mr. Adams; besides "Heaven" he had five other records made the Top 100, "Somebody" {#11}, "Summer of '69" {#5}, "One Night Love Affair" {#13}, "It's Only Love", with Tina Turner, {#15}, and "Christmas Time" {#31}...
Bryan Guy Adams will celebrate his 58th birthday this coming November 5th {2017}.
  • Ryan from San Jose, CaI love this song!! Bryan Adams is awesome and still sounds about as amazing today as he did then. I had a question about the lyrics, though. It may be a dumb question, but why does he say, "I'm findin' it hard to believe / We're in heaven" and then a couple lines later says "It isn't too hard to see / We're in heaven"? His feelings for his significant other haven't changed, but yet in one instance he doesn't think he's in heaven, yet in the next instance he's convinced he is. I was just curious. I'm probably missing something obvious, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!!
  • Noreen Stinson from Oxford House Mb, MbBryan Adams is a good singer.
  • Sandy from Enterprise, FlBryan Adams is the epitome of blue-eyed soul.
  • Tt from Columbia, Scthis song will always be in my heart , its part of my youth , for every guy i ever dated this was "our" song. Bryan is the best , when ever i think about the 80's Bryan comes into mind.
  • Jim from Long Beach, CaThis brings me back to my old girlfriend. Great times and memories..
  • Brian from Chicago, IlBryan Adams version is great, but I have to say that DJ Sammy's version is also great. Obviously it takes more talent to be the original writer/singer, and to actually play real instruments.
  • Miles from Vancouver, Canadayeah! at least bryan adams's version uses REAL instruments
  • Cameron from Austin, Txthis is such a beautiful song. the DJ Sammy version sucks, Bryan Adams orginal is so much better!
