  • Stay low, soft, dark and dreamless
Far beneath my nightmares and loneliness
I hate me for breathing without you
I don't want to feel anymore for you

Grieving for you, I'm not grieving for you
    Nothing real love can't undo
And though I may have lost my way
All paths lead straight to you

I long to be like you
Lie cold in the ground like you

    Halo blinding wall between us
Melt away and leave us alone again
    Humming haunted somewhere out there
I believe our love can see us through in death

I long to be like you
Lie cold in the ground like you
    There's room inside for two
And I'm not grieving for you
    I'm coming for you

    You're not alone
No matter what they told you
    You're not alone
I'll be right beside you forevermore

I long to be like you, sis
Lie cold in the ground like you did
    There's room inside for two
And I'm not grieving for you

And as we lay in silent bliss
    I know you remember me

I long to be like you
Lie cold in the ground like you
    There's room inside for two
And I'm not grieving for you
I'm coming for you Writer/s: AMY LEE

  • Kaye from Vancouver, WaThis song makes me cry. Every time I hear it. My Sister killed herself after her fiance died. It fits with both meanings of this song, and I love this song so much. • Ebony from Eegene, OrAMAZING SONG. I don't know why, but i always imagine im at my best friend Kirsten's funeral and its on a cliff on top of the ocean with a light house and its open casket and its really sad and I cry like every time. I don't know why, again. beautiful song. sounds like she says "I long to be like you, sis. Lie Cod in the ground like You, DEAD." I mean, i know that's not what the lyrics say, but that's what I hear.
  • Kennedy from Newport, WaSuch a wonderful, deep and touching song...I love it. I love Amy Lee.
  • Amit from Mumbai, IndiaThis is by far the most touching song.It expresses vividly the pain, and more importantly how much does the singer misses her sister.what to say ,its amazing
  • Samantha from Dover, NhI love my sisters, and this song is so amazing. I cry whenever I hear it. It's so sad.
  • Abigail from Elgin, Ilthis song is very emotional and makes me think what would happen if one of my brothers or my sister died and what i would do if they were gone and i was left... and i have lost a sibling and he was younger then me... this song makes me want to cry but i love it anyway...
  • Rina from Miami, FlThis is so sad... It's like she's not quite gotten over the death, and she still thinks the one she lost is still alive. She's fervently praying that she could be dead like the one she lost. I always need to check that everyone is here whenever I listen to this song.
"You're not alone, no matter what they told you--you're not alone! I'll be right beside you forevermore." That part is so haunting and you can't help but feel sorry for her.
This song is rated 5 stars on my iPod and on here.
  • Muhammad from Tanta, EgyptThis song makes me cry every time i listen to it
i really can't get enough of it and i believe it's the masterpiece of Evanescence

and Amy's voice and performance is just great
lyrics is beyond my limits of holding myself together
  • Cortney from Grand Junction, Cothis song is so beautiful because it expresses true emotions toward losing someone.i mean,i would feel that way exactly if i lost my lttle sister.god, such a beautiful song
  • Cat from Salem, PaThe lyrics might help if your wondering what she is saying in the chorus:

"I long to be like you, sis. Lie cold in the ground like you, did. There's room inside for two, and I'm not grieving for you."

I love Amy Lee, and I love her songs. They are amazing!!! The first time I heard this song, I cried. Only becuase I cant imagine losing my sister. She is so close to me. She's not my younger sister, but she is still family.
  • Sarah from Boston, Masorry for the question mark that was a typo
  • Sarah from Boston, Mathank u kataroooo anywho how bot u sorry rhyming any way yeah this song pwns?
  • Curjos from Uk, EnglandThe end of the song implies that she is going to commit suicide to be with her sister to get past the "blinding wall" between them. "Im not grieving for you, I'm coming for you.". It also implies that she longs to be dead. "I long to be like you, sis. Lie cold in the ground like you"
  • Jailene from K-town, WaThis song is haunting and (this'll sound strange) it always makes me feel like I need to look over my shoulder. The melody is gorgeous and it always makes me think of how I would feel if one of my siblings died; I know I would feel completely empty inside. I have this adorable two year old sister and she is SO cute, I've been teaching her how to say random words like 'blanket' and 'flower' and one of her favorite things to ask is "What's that?" and she always makes me smile...I just can't imagine the world without her or any of my other obnoxious siblings for that matter. It's cute, though, my sister, cuz she calls me 'Lee lee' and every time I'm not around she'll point to places I normally go, like my room or the living room and go "Lee lee?" Or that's what my mom has told me. Cute, huh? Sorry, way off track. LOVE THIS SONG!
  • Anzi from London, EnglandI have two words to say about this song: beautiful, emotional
  • Kate from Brisbane, AustraliaYeah Sara is right (even thought it is not writen down as a lyric) amy lee does say sis but you can only hear it clearly on the 2nd line
1st line sounds like dad or ah i.e like she didn't take a grate breath of air before she began to sing that line
for some reason when ever i hear this song i think of her standing infront of a grave
  • Crystal from Stockton, CaThis is by far the best song I have ever heard
