  • You come in cold
    You're covered in blood
They're all so happy you've arrived
    The doctor cuts your chord
He hands you to your mom
She sets you free into this life
And where do you go with no destination, no maps to guide you
Wouldn't you know that it doesn't matter, we all end up the same

These are the chronicles of life and death and everything between
These are the stories of our lives, as fictional as they may seem
You come in this world, and you go out just the same
Today could be the best day of your life

And money talks in this world
    That's what idiots will say
But you'll find out that this world
    Is just an idiots parade
Before you go, you've got some questions
    And you want answers
But now you're old, cold, covered in blood
Right back to where you started from

These are the chronicles of life and death and everything between
These are the stories of our lives, as fictional as they may seem
You come in this world, and you go out just the same
Today could be the worst day of your life

But these are the chronicles of life and death and everything between
These are the stories of our lives, as fictional as they may seem
You come in this world, and you go out just the same
Today could be the best day of
Today could be the worst day of
Today could be the last day of your life
It's your life, your life Writer/s: BENJI MADDEN, JOEL MADDEN

  • Emiko from Redding, CtThe song explains how death will always follow you and that everyone dies...i think
  • Katherine from Akron, OhThis song does keep the perspective that everybody is pretty much the same It's true if you really think about it
  • Olivia from Perth, AustraliaProbably my fav song of theirs,I love the lyrics, it's almost like a story of the listeners life. It's a great song, lyrics and music. Those Madden twins are geniuses in my eyes :)
  • Peter from North Salt Lake, Utooops... not this song... i read a comment about that murder song... in this world (murder) is about animal rights...
    my bad...
  • Peter from North Salt Lake, Utthis is an animal rights song... go listen to it... its obvious
  • Erik from Willow Hill, Padoes anyone know what "in this world (murder)" means? i like that song but i have no clue what it means. i think abortion, but i'm not sure.
  • Lauren from Columbus, Ohok
for one good charlotte has changed. they arnt punk anymore. in my own opinion i think they are a lil emo now. they are getting better with every cd! and yes their listeners go to a pretty low age which does get on my nerves, but that doesnt mean they arnt a good band! and besides they speak the truth and arnt afraid of their haters. i look up to them and im not afraid to say it.
  • Heather from Stony Brook Long Island, Nythere fans are all like 9 year olds
  • Heather from Stony Brook Long Island, Nyi hate good charlotte i think that they really not punk yeahhh
  • Brit from Woodbury, Njanyone notice the "lyrics" the person assigned to this song is actually lyrics to "the truth"
  • Rach from Norfolk, EnglandThis song is saying how everyone is equal. Its also saying that you hav to spend the time u hav in life wisly. Don't stick to ok, go do the things u want.
  • Secret from Tipton, MoThis song is so true! Speak your mind always! Let people know how you feel it makes you feel better and may or may not make them feel good. Everyone deserves to know the cold hearted honest truth, even if it is sure to hurt them. Give them what they deserve wether it be a punch in the face or the truth.
    ~peace out~
    ~love you all!
    -Secret
  • Sare from Act, Australiayeah this song rocks and it is very true, how you cant worry too much about this life. how it says, "these are the chronicles of life and death and everything between" it makes me think that our birth and death are the only two really significant events to us, and everything else in the middle is just to fill time until you die.
  • Cate from Bismarck, NdThis song means a lot to me it makes me think of how people have different perspectives while living and about death....Its kind of a wakeup call that 'hey....things can get worse but only if u dwell on your negativity.....-peace-
  • Lauren from Keansburg, Njthis song is awesome and so is the whole album...good charlotte has grown up so much from their first album and i love it! even though all of their CDs rock! i think this was the greatest one!
  • Caitlin from Eugene, OrI love this song and the entire album! Its awesome!
