  • I'm the girl you've been thinking about
The one thing you can't live without
Yeah, I'm the girl you've been waiting for
I'll have you down on your knees
I'll have you begging for more
You probably thought I wouldn't get this far
You thought I'd end up in the back of a car
You probably thought that I'd never escape
I'd be a rat in a cage, I'd be a slave to this place
You don't know how hard I fought to survive
Waking up alone when I was left to die
And you don't know about this life I've lived
    All these roads I've walked
    All these tears I've bled

    So how can this be?
    You're praying to me
As I look in your eyes
I know just what that means
I can be, I can be your everything

    I can be your whore
I am the dirt you created
    I am your sinner
    I am your whore
But let me tell you something baby
You love me for everything you hate me for

I'm the one that you need and fear
Now that you're hooked, it's all becoming clear
That all your judgments that you placed on me
    Was a reflection of discovery
So maybe next time when you cast your stones
From the shadows of the dark unknown
You will crawl up from your hiding place
Take a look in the mirror
See the truth in your face

    So how can this be?
    You're praying to me
As I look in your eyes
I know just what that means
I can be, I can be your everything

    I can be your whore
I am the dirt you created
    I am your sinner
    I am your whore
But let me tell you something baby
You love me for everything you hate me for

I am the dirt you created
    I am your sinner
    And your whore
But let me tell you something baby
You love me, you want me, you need me

Well I can be your whore
I am the dirt you created
    I am the sinner
    I am your whore
But let me tell you something baby
You love me for everything you hate me for

(And I can be your whore)
    (I can be your whore)
(And I can be your whore)
But let me tell you something baby
You love me for everything you hate me for

  • Broadside Brooklyn from Iowa FallsI would like to first of all say I absolutely love the band In This Moment. I speak as a trans woman though my biggest problems do not stem from that. They do however stem from the hate and greed and pure disrespect from society for it's own. I at a young age was also told I would never amount to anything and that I was worthless. I love the beginning where you explain this and my most favorite part is that you explain that you can rise above and hope to inspire love out of hate. This is and has been something I have tried to preach and could never seem to be able to get across to people. I hope that the band will be able to read this and maybe give thier blessing as I have decided to make my last stand and am exhausted in my efforts but I would like to lip sync this song along with its message at the beginning on my fb profile page on the 31st of December Brooklyn Sommers is the name on the page you can miss it I did a Harley Quinn photo shoot on my own with a friend and that is the pic you can use to find me. I would love to have the blessing from the band to do this. World love and peace is my nemesis and I am doing my best to change that but it takes so many more to make it happen. My thanks for your time.
