  • Jr from UtahHmm, most small towns that I know of around here don't have sidewalks, traffic lights, or even a liquor store, so I am not sure what he is really conveying. People are people, whether they come from small towns or big cities, I have met great and terrible people from both. My biggest issue is that the song portrays an "us vs them" mentality, which does a lot to sow tension and mistrust that plagues society today.
  • Walleye Guy from Nw IowaJASON ALDEAN got it right with "try that in a small town"--it doesn't make any difference what political party one belongs to--that's the way it is in the "real life" in Rural America--"we take care of each other out here" and we don't need any "outside influences" telling us "the way it should be"!!!
  • Flanders from IllinoisCMT is the woke equivalent of the Rock and Roll hall of fame. They wouldn't recognize talent of a blue collar country chart topper/anthem/ballad if it was written, or inscribed on a case of boycotted buttwhiper beer.
  • Ed from PoconosHis management company started the hype because the song wasn't selling.....he fooled you all
  • Anonymous from Lynne From UtahLove the song! Nothing but the true. And nobody said you have to listen to it or like it.
  • Cindy Olvera from TexasWOW!!! The single mindedness of people is just unbelievable. Please tell me what is racist about this song! Just one thing?? The video clips in Jason‘s video are all legit videos that are actually happening today. Where is this country gone to? We’ve allowed burning of our flag, the stupid protest that leads to looting (by the way, what’s that about??). Just think we have voted the idiots into office that allowed this to happen. Living in a small town as a whole other my mindset, we still respect the flag, cops,(not saying there aren’t bad along with good because there are) and our neighbors. When someone needs help, it doesn’t matter what they believe or how they believe, we help them. It’s just a simple truth, it’s the right thing to do!!!!!
  • Judi Kail from OklahomaNo racist remarks in this song. In fact, all of it is the truth!!!
  • Kathy Mcclure from AtlantaAre CMT and those like Sheryl Crowe so stupid that they have to complain about a sing (a SONG) that talks about what it’s like in a small town?? Just that - not racist, no hanging, nothing but a SONG telling the truth about small town folks looking after each other!! This nation needs more small town thinking!! Good Job Jason and I wasn’t necessarily a fan but NOW I am!!
