  • Uh, I met her on my way to Chicago
    Where she was all alone
    And so was I
So I asked her for her name
She smiled and looked at me
    I was surprised to see
    That a woman like that
    Was really into me

She said she didn't have no man
Raised the kids the very best she can (she was loving me)
She told me she was all alone
Said at home, she didn't have no phone (she was wanting me)
She said just to give her a page
Fifty-nine was the code she gave (she was loving me)
She lied to you, lied to me
'Cause she was loving me, loving me, yeah

I never would've thought she was living like that
    Her words seemed so sincere
    When I held her near
She would tell me how she feels
It felt so real to me
This girl, she had to be
An angel sent from Heaven just for me

She said she didn't have no man
Raised the kids the very best she can (look who's loving me)
She told me she was all alone
Said at home, she didn't have no phone (look who's loving me)
She said just to give her a page
Fifty-nine was the code she gave (gave to me)
She lied to you, lied to me
'Cause she was loving me, loving me, yeah (look who's lovin' me)

She tried to live a double life
Loving me while she was still your wife (she was wanting me)
She thought that loving me was cool
With you at work and the kids at school (she was loving me)
She said that it would never end
Tried to keep me any way she can (she was wanting me)
She lied to you, lied to me
'Cause she got a family, family, yeah

    Whoa, no
    Alright
    Ohh
    (I'm in love, love) da-da, da-da-da-da

I didn't know she was already spoken for
'Cause I'm not that kind of man
Swear that I would've never looked her way
Now I feel so much shame
And all things have to change
You should know that I'm holding her to blame

She said she didn't have no man
Raised the kids the very best she can (holding her to blame)
She told me she was all alone
Said at home, she didn't have no phone (holding her to blame)
She said just to give her a page
Fifty-nine was the code she gave (holding her to blame)
She lied to you, lied to me
'Cause she was loving me, loving me, yeah (her to blame)

She tried to live a double life
Loving me while she was still your wife
She thought that loving me was cool
With you at work and the kids at school
She said that it would never end
Tried to keep me any way she can
She lied to you, lied to me
'Cause she got a family, family, yeah Writer/s: Danielle Rooney

  • Barry from Sauquoit, NyHere's one more 'Chicago' to add to the list:
On August 13th 1957, Frank Sinatra recorded "Chicago" at the Capitol Records Studio in Los Angeles, California {at the same session he also recorded "All The Way"}...
Exactly two months later on October 13th, 1957 it entered Billboard's Top 100 chart at position #84 {amazingly it was tied at #84 with 5 other songs; "Around the World" by Victor Young, "Farther Up the Road" by Bobby 'Blue' Bland, "I'll Remember You" by Patti Page, "Till" by Percy Faith, and "Rocking Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu" by Huey 'Piano' Smith & the Clowns}...
The following week it was off the Top 100; but his "All The Way" debut at #78...
Both songs were featured in his 1957 movie "The Joker Is Wild", which had its world premiere on September 26th, 1957 in New York City...
    R.I.P. Francis Albert Sinatra {1915 - 1998}.
