  • Grand Master N from West PhiladelphiaThis used to be my favorite song as a kid because it was catchy, and I didn’t understand what they were saying at the time, but now that I do, it’s hard for me to listen to because the subject matter is triggering. I still like Nickelback, but I guess I’m gonna have to find a new favorite song from that band.
  • Bev Krob from IowaI knew Never Again had to be from some childhood memories but it breaks my heart that Chad had to experience it.
I hate to admit this but it's only been in the last year that I've been listening to Nickelback and I just turned 59. Keep up the good songs guy's !!
  • Lancemy bf relates to this a lot (we're minors)
  • AnonymousI can relate to this song so much
  • Rhonda from Rome GaThis song was my life growing up, my dad lived and went on to marry again and never put a hand on my stepmom, expecting us to pretend none of that ever happened. I’m 60 and it’s still with me. No amount of drugs and alcohol could make it go away. I did make sure my children never had to witness that kind of behavior.
  • Tony from Maryland This song resonated very deeply with me. It just sounded like someone wrote a song about my childhood. So painful to hear these things put to music but so good to have someone sharing it openly.
  • Amy from St. John, NlThe song reminds me of "Life with Billy" the Canadian movie about the life of Jane Hurshman, a woman who was brutally abused by her common law husband and ended up shooting him.
  • Nicholas from Inglewood, Cathis is a good song. i am against any kind of physical, emotional, and verbal abuse by men towards women and children. i love this f***ing song. really awesome
  • Rjh from Marquette, MiI think this is the weaker version of Flat On the Floor. I know they don't have the same meaning, and this one means a lot more, but it's beat is much too calm. If this was me and this was my father I'd be screaming.
  • Amanda from Wabash, InI love this song. It gives me hope and strength.
    -Amanda Wabash, IN
  • Sarah from Adelaide, AustraliaI think this song has a very powerful meaning to it and i can relate to this song. I haven't heard to many songs like this. Well done Nickelback. Your AWESOME
  • Marissa from Is This Optional?, Ohthis song makes me so sad... abuse is one of the most heartbreaking things that can happen to someone, even if you're just seeing it rather than being abused yourself. another song about abuse that makes me sad whenever I hear it is "hell is for children" by Pat Benatar.
  • Leon from Waterbury, CtActually, Kittie, that is incorrect. "Too Bad" is about his childhood and his father - when his father heard the song, he asked Chad Kroeger what it meant and what it was about. He told him it had nothing to do with him, but was loosely based on his friend's childhood.
  • Kittie from Boston, MaThe song is loosely based on Chad Kroeger's childhood. His father was an alcoholic that used to beat his mother.
  • Louise from Norwich, Englandi think that this song is one of nickelback's best songs, as it is dealing with serious issues whilst making a brilliant rock song in the procees. this song inspired me to start writing a novel on a little girl who goes through the things that happen in the song, and goes on to show what happens later on in her life, and how she deals with the issues and how her life is affected by the events of her childhood, and my novel is based on this song. i feel that this song is really good and seems strong and is just a good rock song. well done nickleback!
  • Chris from Abbotsford, CanadaThe video is made up of clips from the bands show in Edmonton on the Silver Side Up tour. The concert was filmed, and released as Nickelback: Live at Home
  • Jordan from Sherwood Park, CanadaTHIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS TO LISTEN TO BEFORE A FIGHT OR ANY KIND OF GAME AWSOME WORK NICKELBACK
