  • She scratches a letter
Into a wall made of stone
    Maybe someday
    Another child
Won't feel as alone as she does
    It's been two years
    And counting
Since they put her in this place
    She's been diagnosed
    By some stupid fuck
    And mommy agrees

    Why go home?
    Why go home?
    Why go home?

    She seems to be stronger
But what they want her to be is weak
    She could play pretend
She could join the game, boy
    She could be another clone
    Ooh, whoa ah, yeah oh
Why go home, why go home, why go home, why go home

What you taught me (why go home)
Put me here don't come visit, mother (why go home)
    Sting me

Why go home, why go home, why go home, why go home
What you taught me (why go home)
Put me here don't come visit, mother, mother yeah (why go home)
Why go home, why go home, why go home, why go home, why go home, whoa Writer/s: Eddie Jerome Vedder, Jeffrey Allen Ament

  • What? from Chicago, IlJust me from America- No you are not. That was weird to read.
  • Just Me from Americai am married to the girl in this song. she told me abort her talks with Eddie
  • Zero from Nowhere, NjThis and Jeremy are my 2 favorite songs off TEN, I can relate to both songs as I've been bullied in school and I've been institutionalized. What I know is that nowadays people can only be committed if they are a danger to themselves or others. Back in the late 80's/early 90's things could have been different, though there is still corruption in the systems to this day. I didn't think they could legally commit someone if they weren't suicidal or homicidal.
  • Brandon from Denver, CoThis is my favorite song, my second is the Mammason trilogy
  • Matt from Millbrae, Cathis is an awesome song...especially the riff that hits after each verse before the chorus. amazing solo too.
