  • Come stop your crying
    It will be alright
    Just take my hand
    Hold it tight

    I will protect you
    From all around you
    I will be here
    Don't you cry

    For one so small
    You seem so strong
    My arms will hold you
    Keep you safe and warm
    This bond between us
    Can't be broken
    I will be here
    Don't you cry

'Cause you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
    From this day on
    Now and forever more

    You'll be in my heart
    No matter what they say
You'll be here in my heart, always

Why can't they understand the way we feel?
They just don't trust what they can't explain
I know we're different but deep inside us
We're not that different at all

And you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
    From this day on
    Now and forever more

    Don't listen to them
'Cause what do they know? (What do they know?)
    We need each other
    To have, to hold
    They'll see in time
    I know

    When destiny calls you
You must be strong (you gotta be strong)
I may not be with you
But you've got to hold on
    They'll see in time
    I know
    We'll show them together

'Cause you'll be in my heart
Believe me you'll be in my heart
I'll be there from this day on
    Now and forever more

Ooh, you'll be in my heart (you'll be here in my heart)
No matter what they say (I'll be with you)
You'll be here in my heart (I'll be there), always
    Always
    I'll be with you
And I'll be there for you always
    Always and always

    Just look over your shoulder
    Just look over your shoulder
    Just look over your shoulder
I'll be there always Writer/s: Phil Collins

  • Ileana from New YorkI feel this a beautiful sentimental song that touches a person heart especially someone who is far apart from the one they love. The message in the song is very comforting and reassuring that iam still with you near or far because your in my heart. This message gives you peace in your heart that not worry or be afraid because I will always be with you through hard times and good times .letting person know that eventually they will be together again because will always love . Even though the person might be doubtful to not worry ..reassuring that it's going to work out because of the strong love they have for each other.
  • Ryan J Mcminn from Sequatchie,tnThis song really hits a nerve it reminds me of my young daughter who is 7 1/2 she lives in West Michigan and I live in metro Chattanooga area but there’s a bond between a daughter And her daddy that cannot be broken no matter how hard the mother tries it almost brings me to tears
  • Mitchell from Liverpool, UkBecame Phil's first appearance in the US top forty for five years (since 1994's "Everyday"), and his most recent US hit to date.
  • Margaret Atwood from Outside Gilead I feel it can apply so much to love in the LGBTI+ community especially the lyrics-
“ Why can't they understand the way we feel
They just don't trust what they can't explain
I know we're different, but deep inside us
We're not that different at all”

  • Colleen from Largo, FlMr. Collins, your song "You Will Be In My Heart" should be the official "ALZ" patient song. It says every thought that any ALZ caregiver is thingkng at any given time. I played it for my husband who has ALZ just now, and he said, "That's a pretty song!" If he only knew what it meant to ME! Plan on buying all your CDs. Thank you for putting my thoughts into music!
  • Michael from Modesto, CaThis song has some of the best chord and key progressions I've ever heard. It initially grabs you and just keeps pulling you more and more into the song as it goes on.
  • Megan from Stevenson, AlThis song makes me cry everytime I listen to it! So cute! I love the lyrics! Love the movie too! "for one so small, you seem so strong. My arms will hold you, keep you safe and warm. This bond between us can't be broken. I will be here, don't you cry." is so poetic!!! <3 {tears!...Again!}
  • Pam from Taylor, MiOne of my fav's. I love Phil Collins voice and the words to this song are so heart touching. All of my love ones will always live in my heart...alive or passed, they are my treasures...and I wouldnt take a million for any of them. A song that teaches LOVE and this world sure can use some. I love the verse..."When destiny calls you, you've got to be strong". Always hold your faith and positivity.
