  • Easy lover
She'll get a hold on you, believe it
    Like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees
    She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it
    She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see

She's the kind of girl you dream of
    Dream of keeping hold of
    You'd better forget it
    You'll never get it
She will play around and leave you
    Leave you and deceive you
    Better forget it
    Oh, you'll regret it

No, you'll never change her, so leave it, leave it
Get out quick 'cause seeing is believing
    It's the only way
    You'll ever know, oh

    She's an easy lover
She'll get a hold on you, believe it
    Like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees
    She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it
    She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see

You're the one that wants to hold her
    Hold her and control her
    Better forget it
    You'll never get it
Oh, she'll say that there's no other
    'Til she finds another
    Better forget it
    Oh, you'll regret it

And don't try to change her, just leave it, leave it
You're not the only one, ooh, seeing is believing
    It's the only way
    You'll ever know, oh

Now don't try to change her, just leave it, leave it
You're not the only one, 'cause seeing is believing
    It's the only way
    You'll ever know, oh

She's an easy lover (she's a easy lover)
She'll get a hold on you, believe it (get a hold on you)
    She's like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees (you'll be down on your knees)
    She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it (you won't feel it)
    She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see (trying to make you see, yeah)

    She's an easy lover
She'll get a hold on you, believe it (get a hold on you)
    And like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees (you'll be down on your knees)
    She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it (you won't feel it)
    She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see (trying to make you see)

    She's an easy lover
She'll get a hold on you, believe it Writer/s: Nathan East, Phil Collins, Philip James Bailey

  • André from Toronto, CanadaAnyone notice how the keyboard in the intro sounds strikingly like Peter Gabriel’s at the beginning of San Jacinto from his 1982 album Security?
  • Seventhmist from 7th HeavenMy favorite song that has the name "Phil Collins" on it. But maybe that's because Bailey helped make it so great.
  • Joe from Grants Pass, OrHas anyone here seen the A&E Request show with Collins ? Totally ROCKS !!!
  • John from Fort Worth, TxI was always impressed with the sound of this song. I'm glad I can learn more about it here. I heard it on the radio tonight and I was determined to research it. What a fine collaboration of talent. Years ago, I was first impressed with the guitar sound. Tonight I was impressed with the drumming. Here, I learned who the different lead vocalists were. Neat!
  • Victor from Mexico City, MexicoAnd guitar solo is courtesy of Mr. Daryl Stuermer, a gifted talented musician, collaborator of Phil Collins since Steve Hackett left GENESIS. You can also hear another awesome guitar solo, on GENESIS' "The way we walk"... the "Jesus he knows me" live version is fantastic!
  • Jeff from Austin, Txit WAS an awesome guitar solo. Great song!!
  • Bertrand from Paris, FranceWhoever thought of throwing one of soul and funk's finest falsetto singers together with the very Caucasian Phil Collins must have received a glut of raised eyebrows and sideways glances upon his or her introduction of the idea. But somehow the odd pairing works wonders on this spirited mid-tempo rocker that the two artists also cowrote together. No one's ever accused Collins of not being a fine singer, but Bailey's presence helped reduce the passion deficit that plagued some of Collins' milquetoast solo performances like "Sussudio." Muscular guitar also helps make the most of each singer's stylistic strengths.
  • Brandon from Peoria, IlThis song has one of the best guitar solos i have ever heard.
