  • For today, we will take their body parts
And put them on the wall

    For treated indigenously, digenously
Human right is private blue chip, pry
For treated indigenously (we're the prophetic generation)
Digenously (of bottled water, bottled water)
Human right is private blue chip, pry (causing poor populations to die)

You, you went beyond and you lost it all
    Why did you go there?
From beyond, you saw it all
    Why did you?

For treated indigenously, digenously (we lost consumer confidence)
Human right is private blue chip, pry (We lost consumer confidence in casual karma)
(Confetti, camouflage, camouflage, the flage, the flage)

For treated indigenously, digenously (We're the prophetic generation)
Human right is private blue chip, pry (of bottled water, bottled water)
(Causing poor populations to die, to die, to die)

You, you went beyond and you lost it all
    Why did you go there?
From beyond, you saw it all
    Why did you go there?

    She lost her mind
Someone kicked her into the back of the line
    She lost her head
When they called and said that they thought he was dead
    Dreaming of screaming
Someone kick me out of my mind, I hate these thoughts I can't deny
    Dreaming of screaming
Someone kick me out of my mind, I hate these thoughts I can't deny

For treated indigenously, digenously we lost consumer confidence
Human right is private blue chip, pry (in casual karma, casual karma))
For treated indigenously, digenously (Confetti, camouflage)
(We're the prophetic generation of bottled water, bottled water)
Human right is private blue chip, pry (camouflage, the flage, the flage))
(Causing poor populations to die, to die, to die)

You, you went beyond and you lost it all
    Why did you go there
From beyond, you saw it all
    Why did you?

    Na-na-na, na-na-na
    Na-na, na-na, na-na-na
    Ah, ah, ah-ah

    Dreamin' of screamin'
Someone kick me out of my mind
    I hate these thoughts I can't deny
    Dreamin' of screamin'
Someone kick me out of my mind
    I hate these thoughts I can't deny

You will take the body parts and put them on the wall

  • 10059 from Los Angeles, CaDbaggerson from Chester, WI is the closest - the Ottoman Turks grotesquely displayed the severed heads of innocent Armenians on a wall of shelves in a village that they had just completely massacred. The image can be found online and is not pleasant to look at.
  • Ricardo from PortugalThis song is about Chthulhu the great dreamer, and the ones who become insane upon going beyond to r'ylieh and come back raving mad as his disciples.
  • Shannon from PennsylvaniaI feel like this song is about George W. Bush sending American troops into Iraq, starting war. Saddam Hussein was tough with his people, but it had nothing to do with us. It wasn't hurting us personally, and yet we somehow had to bring ourselves into it. "You went beyond and you lost it all." I feel like this lyric is about the cause and effect of the US and Iraq at war. The cause being the war and the effect being Al Qaeda crashing a plane in a field in Pennsylvania, a plane crashing into the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and two planes crashing into the Twin Towers, taking them down along with thousands of innocent victims. Was going beyond really worth losing it all? It really makes you wonder..."why did you go there?"
  • Heimdallr from Lakeland, Sweden...dreams VERY rarely cause insanity...
  • Dbaggerson from Chester, WiI believe the lyrics "For today we will take the body parts and put them on the wall " may have something to do with the heads of dead Armenians being put on shelves. One of my favorites songs of SOAD.
  • Evan from Norman, Ok@Victoria
I love this song, but I much prefer Lonely Day.
    And the description is perfect.
  • Dan from Toronto, OnI think this song is about Soviet Union government. Many people died of starvation. They had a different view of things (philosophy). "You, you went beyond and you lost it all
    Why did you go there"
When the song uses the word "she" it can mean Mother Land. Can't forget that this band is Armenian, and i bet their parents have told them about what happened in the past.
  • Esq08 from Istanbul, Turkeyvocals is the best!
  • Victoria from Memphis, TnYes best song on Hypnotize:)
  • Katerina from Thessaloniki, GreeceI love this song. I mean it's the first song I've actually cried with. For me the 'She lost her mind...' part is about a lost love. The 'You, you went beyond...' is about people that think of things that most people don't and end up confused, depressed and totally lost. And finally, my favourite part 'Dreaming of screaming, someone kick me out of my mind I hate this thoughts I can't deny' is about all the the thoughts I make that are so true but make me really depressed and I wish so badly I wouldn't be making them.
  • Damien from Edmonton, CanadaThis is my All-time favorite SOAD song, It's #3 in my top 10 songs of all time, with "Eriatarka" by The Mars Volta being #2 and "Paranoid Android" by Radiohead being #1. But this song... it's just so amazing! I don't even know how they made it this amazing! The guitar riffs are awesome, the lyrics are meaningful, and the "Dreaming of Screaming" part gives me chills. Serj's voice is amazing on this.
  • Evita from Dundalk, IrelandI dnt no how dey do it! Their songs are unbelievable, i love System of a down!!!!
  • Graeme from Carluke, ScotlandI think its about nightmares driving you insane, waking up past mistakes. That's what the chorus is about.
  • Blake from Hamilton, OhThis song really sucks as far as "Catchyness goes." I really don't like it, but it's talking about how dreams can be really bad indeed.
  • Aaron from Plymouth, MnThis is by far my favorite song on Hypnotize.
  • Matt from Fort Myers, FlBest song on Hypnotize.
  • Petrified Monkey from South Park, CoYou! You went beond!! And you lost it all!! Why did you go there?!!!! From Beond!!! You saw it all!!! Why did you go there!!?!!
