  • Dj Michaelangelo from Grand Rapids, MichiganSongwriter & industry exec Kara Dio Guardi had this to say, about co-writing the PCD song: "One of the best producer/writer/artists I have ever worked with is will.i.am. He is a walking breathing genius. When I arrived at the studio he had the chorus to 'Beep' already laid down. It was a reaction to his label and radio programmers wanting to change the title of his song 'Don't Phunk With My Heart' on the Black Eyed Peas 'Monkey Business' album, due to the controversial usage of the word 'phunk' in thte title. He figured why not create a song where all the words of suspect were already bleeped out; that way no one could ever censor his thoughts. He was so generous and encouraging in the room. I met a lot of extraordinary people writing songs for the Pussycat Dolls."
