Songfacts®:

  • AJ Tracey was born and raised in the Ladbroke Grove area of western London. Here, he links up with Mabel, who lives a few blocks away on the Trellick Tower estate. The postcode for the area is W10 - hence the song title.
  • Tracey raps two braggadocios verses where he boasts about his rise to fame and his wealthy lifestyle full of cars, jewelry and money. Mabel addresses her hook and verse to her boyfriend, telling the dude she's giving him the boot.
  • This is Tracey and Mabel's second collaboration. They previously paired up for Mabel's "Thinking Of You (Cadenza Remix)" in 2016.
  • The garage-inspired sound is a tribute to the music that AJ Tracey grew up with. The rapper previously paid homage to the genre on his 2019 single "Ladbroke Grove." He interpolates some lines from that song during his second verse.
  • Tracey and Mabel wrote the song with Kamille, who previously collaborated with Mabel on her hit singles "Don't Call Me Up" and "Mad Love."
  • Frequent Ed Sheeran collaborator Fred Again produced the track along with New York DJ duo Take a Daytrip (Sheck Wes' "Mo Bamba," Lil Nas X's "Panini").
