Songfacts®:

  • Ronan Keating of Boyzone told The Sun December 5, 2008 that he thinks this is the band's best single to date. He explained: "It's such a special song because it's about how having someone in your life to love can make it better."
  • The song's promo generated a lot of discussion as it features gay Boyzone member Stephen Gately getting cosy with another man. It was the first boyband video to feature a gay couple. Keating explained to The Sun: "The video definitely caused controversy, but that wasn't what we set out to do. It would have been completely hypocritical for Stephen to have been filmed with a female partner. I know Stephen had a hard time when he came out towards the end of Boyzone and the video was a way of him really being true to who he is - and to hopefully inspire and encourage others to be true to themselves."
  • This song was written by English singer-songwriter Tom Baxter. Released as a single Baxter's original version reached #67 in the UK in December 2007.
  • The song belied its title by becoming the first Boyzone single to fail to break into the UK Top 20.
