  • The socialite Paris Hilton was big news at the time, and speculation was that this song was about her. Hilton rose to fame after appearing in a 2003 sex video with her boyfriend Rick Salomon that was leaked on the Internet and released as 1 Night In Paris.

In our interview with Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd, however, he denied the Hilton connection and said it was not about anyone specific. Said Todd: "It's just about a girl who's good in bed but a terrible girlfriend."
  • In the April 2007 issue of Esquire magazine, Chuck Klosterman pointed out that while the Gnarls Barkley song "Crazy" was lauded by many critics as the best song of 2006, Buckcherry's "Crazy Bitch" was immensely popular that year at strip clubs, among people who drive with their windows down, and with kids who won't turn off their ringtones during movies. He points out that you can tell a lot about a person by which song they prefer. If you go for this song, Klosterman says, "You have been sonically and culturally emancipated: You will never have to read another album review for the rest of your life. You don't need criticism, because the things you like don't require explanation. You're free. You're crazy, but you like the way it f--ks you."
  • The idea for the song came to Josh Todd when he was driving around Los Angeles, thinking about how funny it was that a leaked sex tape had catapulted Paris Hilton to global fame. As Todd ruminated on this, he started remembering some of the crazy girls he met when he was younger. This prompted the Buckcherry frontman to sing the chorus of "'Crazy Bitch."

Pleased with what had come from his meanderings, Todd called his mom to record the song idea on her answering machine so he wouldn't forget it. He recalled to Sally Steele of Vegas Rocks! magazine that he told her, "Don't erase this - I want to remember it. We'll talk about it later."

  • Tbone from 97301It's a song. We all have had " a crazy bitch " or at least I have, more than one. Even though they are crazy and a pain in the ass. The sex makes it worth putting up with for at least a second coming lol .. like it. Hate it. Who f--kin cares. I personally ca n relate to it and it always arises good memories and a smile when I hear it.
  • Zack from Noblesville, InBuckcherry did the song better than L.A. Guns.
  • Musicmoguel78 from New York, MaEveryone is very wrong about the true meaning of this song. Keep in mind while interpreting this, as well as the responses Josh (singer) has given that Josh is a married man. Do you think he's ever going to be open about the true meaning of it and screw up a marriage? Yes, it IS about one person specifically. She's not really "crazy" I have actually met her she's well known in the music scene. At an EC B.C. show she was in the audience on stage and Josh dedicated it to her. If you do a little digging you can find out who it is about.
  • Pat from Paradise City, CaGuys, this song was an L.A. Guns single written and recorded back in the 80's. Buckcherry covered it. They both do it great though, hard to say who did it better.
  • James from Chicopee, MaJonathan... What are you talking about, what you said made no sense at all... By the way this is a good song.
  • Jonathan from Paoli, InThis song is a song that could make more songs that would make more songs sing. HEY YOUR A CRAZY *** BUT YOU **** SO GOOD ON TOP OF IT WHEN I DREAM OF DOIN YOU ALL NIGHT SCRATCHES ALL DOWN MY BACK TO KEEP ME RIGHT ON!
  • Kansas from Cambellsville, Kyokay. so honestly, you guys are dumb. this song is amazing. i could call it my favorite. buckcherry is great. i personally don't think it's about paris, but that's whatever. a song only means whatever you take it to mean.
  • Jasmine from Allentown, PaI love this song I think it may not really have the best message in the world and it may not have the prettiest topic but it's just a fun song that you can listen to when you just want to have fun (no pun intended)
  • Becky from Clifton Park, NyArticle Title: Inspired By Paris Hilton, Buckcherry Spin 'Crazy' Single Into Comeback'It's like sweet revenge,' frontman Josh Todd says of band's return to charts. Info is all right here in the link below.

Crazy Bitch was not supposed to be the 1st song debuted...15 was made in Japan in 15 days...Which inspired the album cover & was first released in Japan. The song leaked out & was being played on Satellite radio & Internet.

The song took on a life of its own.

  • Nikki from Cleveland, OhThis is a funny topic! ACTUALLY, Josh Todd gave a definition of what a "crazy bitch" is at a show the other night. One that MUST give anal sex at least 3 times a week, you are a savage, you go down every minute you get. There was ALOT more as to how to become a crazy bitch, but I can't remember it all! LOL!
  • Jeff from Austin, TxThis is one of the dumbest songs ever played on radio.
  • Josh from Detroit, MiThe Paris Hilton stuff is partially true. When the Paris Hilton tape came out, it sparked a discussion between the band members, but that's the extent of the connection. During that conversation, they all realized that there was that one "crazy bitch" in their life who they really shouldn't have been involved with, but the sex was too good to leave. This was the only song that was written before the band broke up and reunited with new members.
  • Erik from Brownwood , Txi agree with doug the song was written to make money and nothing else. i dont think a true musician would write such a simple song . its not genius or godly music. its just chill music. or sex music. which ever you prefer
  • Luke from Manchester, EnglandDoug from Springfield: That was written like a true generalising prick. Buck Cherry are a rock 'n' roll band, they are intelligent and they are erudite yet they want their music to be fun. Go and listen to some of the other songs by BC and you'll see what I mean.
  • Doug from Springfield, MoThis song is quite simply one of the stupidist songs ever composed. Clearly made to feed the masses of beer swilling drunks, strippers and immature kids.
  • Ryan from Morrison, Il LOL yeah the song sounds like they're trying to make someone a porn star!!
  • Mercedies from Soldotna, AkI don't completely agree with Ressie and Mike. Sure it could be about Paris Hilton, I wouldn't put it past her that she could be a hooker. If she's willing to make a sex video, her morals can't be THAT high. And I sensed Ressie's sarcasim in her comment. Does she even like the song? I don't honestly think people should comment on a song if they don't like it. It's a waste of time.Nobody is going to quit looking at the song because you hate it. They're just going to think less of you. I personally love this song because it sounds great loud and the phrases are catchy. A note to MATTHEW SMITH, FROM MIAMI, FL.: If anyone on drugs could come up with it,(and people on drugs aren't the smartest in the world), THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU COME UP WITH IT? People can't say that someone doesn't have any skills when they can't even do it. I love buckcherry.
  • Matthew Smith from Miami, FlMan, these lyrics are horrible.... not that I hate cursing or anything but anyone on drugs could come up with the line " I like the way you ---- me"
  • Alyssa from Forney, TxIts a pretty out there song haha
    Good though
  • Mike from Mass, MaI agree completly with Ressie, and the lines:

"You want me to stay, but I gotta amke my way"..."Take it all, the paper is your game"..."You jump in bed with fame, another one night paid in full"...

can be interpreted as a hooker, begging the person to stay, but him explaining hes gonna her an extra tip..saying thats the only way u make ur money...that that's your game...and the last line is saying that ur getting paid double by having sex with a famous person...and getting paid with actual "paper" meaning cash.

But i highly dought its about Paris Hilton...
  • Ressie from Medford, OrReading above, I find it very hard to believe that this was based on Paris Hilton. By no means a lyrical gem, I think it's probable that the song is based on the band's groupies (or, perhaps, one in particular?). Buckcherry has insane stage presence and radiates sexuality in an angry, dirty force; in oldschool rock star tradition, their shows are swarming with girls and what happens there (and backstage) must often be seen to be believed. It could also be about a whore. Think about these phrases: "You want me to stay, but I gotta amke my way"..."Take it all, the paper is your game"..."You jump in bed with fame, another one night paid in full"...Once again, no treasure is found here. Though it's catchy as hell, and one of rock's answers to "friends in low places" when it comes to GREAT DRUNKEN SING-ALONG SONGS.
