Songfacts®:

  • Camila Cabello teams up with Pharrell Williams on this slow-burning slice of summery pop. The salsa-laced jam features a section where Cabello raps in Spanish before the pair join forces on the chorus blending their voices into a melange not unlike the titular beverage. Cabello and Williams previously worked together on the Cuban-born songstress' 2017 hit single "Havana."
  • "Sangria Wine" was originally recorded for the singer's Camila album, but did not make the final tracklist. The song, however, was performed by Cabello during her Never Be The Same tour. It was eventually released as a single on May 18, 2018.
  • This was written and produced by Cabello and Williams with additional songwriting from Never Be The Same Tour opener Bia.
  • Sangria is an alcoholic drink from Spain and Portugal, which mainly consists of red wine and chopped fruit. The best known reference to the beverage in popular music was in Lou Reed's opening lyric from "Perfect Day."
