The King of Broadway was Max Bialystock, at least that is what he claims to have been earlier in his career, although the guys and girls of the Ensemble are more than a little skeptical. The song, which is performed in the street, begins with Bialystock asking how did it all go so wrong; in the film, this well choreographed number ends with him standing on top of a taxi, although for obvious reasons, not all stage versions do. >>>
