Songfacts®:

  • "Ecstasy" came into existence in early 2019 during a writing session at Guy Lawrence's London house. The Lawrence brothers were chopping up samples from various '70s records when suddenly the soul group Aquarium Dream's 1978 cut "Fantasy" gave the pair just what they were searching for.
  • The end result is a vivacious synth cut featuring the sampled vocals by Gloria Jones, best known for recording the original version of "Tainted Love."

Said Disclosure: "This song is made entirely to get a human being to their feet and directly to the dance floor."
