Songfacts®:

  • Ella Henderson's vocals drip with sunshine on this summery bop as she croons about an idyllic connection bathed in golden rays. She knows this feeling won't last forever but cherishes it anyway.

"It's all about living in the moment with someone and dancing off into the sunset," said Henderson.
  • Henderson teamed up with British DJ duo Switch Disco and Brazilian DJ Alok for this song. It marks the second collaboration between Henderson and Switch Disco, following their 2023 single "React," which reached #4 on the UK Singles chart and garnered a nomination for Song Of The Year at the Brit Awards in 2024.

It's the first time Henderson worked with Alok.
  • Henderson and Switch Disco wrote "Under The Sun" with Maegan Cottone and Punctual (the production duo of Will Lansley and John Morgan).

It was produced by Alok, Punctual, and Switch Disco.

Cottone and Punctual have co-written some of Henderson's hottest tracks, including "React," and her collaborations with Nathan Dawe ("0800 Heaven") and Rudimental ("Alibi").
  • Adding an extra layer of summer nostalgia, the song samples Chris Rea's classic "On the Beach (Summer '88)."
