So Much Better

  • This song finds Eminem comparing his Hip-Hop career to a broken relationship in a similar fashion to the Recovery track, "25 to Life." Having caught his lover cheating on him with Dr. Dre, Drake and Lupe Fiasco, the brokenhearted Shady says that he'll never love anyone again, adding, "my life would be so much better, if you'd just drop dead." He claims to think that his life would so much easier without all that his fame entails but ends the song, "I'm just playing bi--h, you knowI "love you."
  • Eminem calls women "fu--ing pigs" that are only good for "doink doink doink," on this song, one of many questionable lyrics he raps on The Marshall Mathers LP 2 album. A special ed teacher told the rapper during a Q&A session that he references his work in his classroom, but wondered how Em felt about his explicit lyrics and controversial topics being used in education? "I'm in this game to press buttons and spark conversation and to get a reaction out of people," Em explained.

"I want to say the lines that are going to get people's attention," he added. "And I would rather have ... even if it's bad attention than no attention at all. I think it's cool if my records spark conversation and debate."
