Songfacts®:

  • This nostalgic song finds Jordan Davis in full reflective mode as he turns the clock back to a relationship he's never quite shaken off. He relays how it's crazy that his old flame, now a mom of two, is cruising around town in a Tahoe with little ones in tow. Davis reminisces about the good times they once shared when they were wilder and more carefree, and concludes her husband doesn't "know you like that."
  • In an Instagram post, Davis joked about the song, "Go ahead and send it to the girl whose name is still the same in your phone... Unless you're married. That won't end well."
  • Luke Combs' regular writing partner Ray Fulcher wrote "Know You Like That" along with Thomas Archer (Luke Combs' "Lovin' On You," Jason Aldean's "Got What I Got"), Jordan Rowe (Jordan Davis' "Good News Sold," Kane Brown's "Fiddle In The Band") and Michael Tyler (Jason Aldean's "Got What I Got," Bailey Zimmerman's "Holy Smokes").

Davis doesn't cut many outside songs, but when he got hold of this one, he knew it was something special. "Man, the hook of this song just really, from the second I heard it, just grabbed me," he said. "I thought that they did an amazing job writing this. And it just feels like one of those classic, nostalgic country songs."
  • Producer Paul DiGiovanni crafted the song's soundscape with a soft touch, conjuring up a wistful tone that fits Davis' nostalgic vibe.
