Songfacts®:

  • This was released by the Kaiser Chiefs as a one-off single as a stopgap before they started writing material for the follow-up to The Future is Medieval. Chief songwriter and drummer Nick Hodgson told The Daily Star that he came up with lyrics, which take aim against the boorishness of modern society while walking his dog Betty. "I'm on the run from the world really," he explained. "There are too many opinions out there, like on Twitter. It's full of rude, cruel people."
  • This was included on Start The Revolution Without Me, which was released for the American market. In addition to this song, it contained several tracks from the physical release of The Future Is Medieval, and a few from the online version of the album.
