  • Written by August Darnell (Kid Creole's real name), there are two versions, the edit running to 3 minutes 50 seconds, and the full remix running to 6 minutes 27 seconds. "Annie, I'm Not Your Daddy" has a similar theme to "Billie Jean", and was released about the same time; obviously it couldn't compete with Michael Jackson's moonwalk, but it was fairly successful all the same, in spite of or perhaps because of its lyrical dissonance. >>
