Songfacts®:

  • Written by August Darnell (Kid Creole's real name), there are two versions, the edit running 3:50, and the full remix running 6:27. "Annie, I'm Not Your Daddy" has a similar theme to "Billie Jean," and was released about the same time; obviously it couldn't compete with Michael Jackson's moonwalk, but it was fairly successful all the same, in spite of or perhaps because of its lyrical dissonance. >>

  • Ian Spencer from Solihull, UkIt's hard to think of a more cruel song than this. If I was in your blood (your father,) you wouldn't be so ugly.

Great song until you listen to it, and it always makes me cringe knowing the words.
