Songfacts®:

  • This is a tale of Weezy having sex with a female cop. It features R&B singer Bobby Valentino, who had a US and UK Top 10 hit in 2005 with "Slow Down."
  • This was produced by Deezle, who told Rhapsody about this track: "Bobby came through [Hot Beats studio in Atlanta], and we were all vibing and Wayne was like, 'D, we need this song for me and Bobby to do.' I grabbed my guitar and then came up with the idea, laid the drums down, the guitar part down, and the bassline on the live bass. Then they came over and did their parts. It took me probably about 20 minutes to do the beat. He and Bobby went back and forth on the hook idea a little bit and then ended up coming out with the 'Mrs. Officer' thing. They were like, 'This is what we thinking.' I was like, 'S--t, this a hundred!'"
  • In February 2010 Darius "Deezle" Harrison and music publishers at The Royalty Network filed a suit demanding $2.5 million regarding unpaid royalties. According to the lawsuit, the song was produced by Deezle Harrison, who claimed he owned the rights the song and therefore seeks all profits that have been derived from the tune.
  • Bobby Valentino came up with the hook's "Wee-ooh-wee-ooh-wee" after hearing the beat. He got in the booth," he told XXL, "and kind of came up with the siren sound."

Wayne liked it. "That's dope," he said. "Keep playing with it."
  • Wayne's UK namesake Tion Wayne samples "Mrs. Officer" on his 2022 collaboration with Aitch, "Let's Go."
