Songfacts®:

  • There are rumours that this MIA collaboration was removed from the main tracklisting for MDNA following the Sri-Lanka-English singer's middle finger that she gave during the performance of "Give Me All Your Luvin'" at the Superbowl. However, it's more likely that it was felt that the song's '60's girl group vibe didn't fit with the rest of the album.

  • Harold Chernofsky from TorontoAmazing talent.
  • Leo from Westminster 1, MdOne of the more upbeat, happy and rocking chapters from MDNA, on Birthday Song-Madonna channels her inner CBGB's/Max's Kansas City Roots from her early First Album/Like a Virgin/Danceteria days in New York as a ballet dancer/punk rocker. And it works to because she does great loud-guitar work on her Black Gibson Les Paul. Lady Ciccone sings "I'm a happy girl in my happy world," showing her all-too-rare sense of Detroit humor. The Lady will always be young-at-heart and that makes Madonna a Brilliant Rocker. Happy or Sad, Madonna's Got It!
