• Adam Levine penned the song with the songwriters Nija, Jacob Kasher, Michael Pollack, Kareen Loma and Soaky Siren; plus producers Ryan Ogren and B Ham, along with Jordan K. Johnson and Stefan Johnson of The Monsters and the Strangerz production team.
  
  Michael Pollack, Jacob Kasher and The Monsters and the Strangerz also helped Levine pen Maroon 5's previous single, "Memories."
• The song's music video finds a solo Adam Levine all alone in the big city. American movie director David Dobkin (Shanghai Knights, Wedding Crashers) filmed the clip on an iPhone with nobody else apart from the singer on set. Dobkin also helmed Maroon 5's videos for "Sugar," "Don't Wanna Know," "Girls Like You" and "Memories."
• At one point during the video Levine smokes a fat joint. At the end of the clip there's a message from the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) that reads:

The aggressive enforcement of marijuana possession laws needlessly ensnares hundreds of thousands of people into the criminal justice system and wastes billions of taxpayers' dollars. What's more, it is carried out with staggering racial bias.
