Songfacts®:

  • "Zone" is a club-ready house track about confidence, momentum, and total focus. Poppy Baskcomb supplies the vocal hook, while the mantra-like chorus repeatedly circles around the phrase "I'm in my zone." The title acts as both the central lyric and the guiding philosophy: a state of flow, self-belief, and feeling completely untouchable.
  • Portsmouth born singer-songwriter and dance vocalist Poppy Baskcomb has built an impressive résumé behind the microphone and in the writing room, contributing to hits by Joel Corry ("I Wish"), Sonny Fodera ("Think About Us") and Josh Baker ("My Place").
  • MK and Baskcomb co-wrote "Zone" with:

Theo Hutchcraft, the lead singer of Hurts. Hutchcraft's songwriting credits also include Calvin Harris' "Under Control" and Jazzy and Rossi's "High On Me."

The production duo Punctual, comprising John Morgan and Will Lansley. Punctual's credits include Nathan Dawe's "0800 Heaven" and BL3SS & CamrinWatsin's "Kisses." Punctual and Baskcomb also collaborated on Sonny Fodera's "Think About Us."
  • MK and Punctual produced "Zone," handling the full instrumental arrangement across programming, synthesizers, drums, guitar, percussion, and bass.
  • The track was also released as an extended mix and a MJ Cole remix, further underlining its natural habitat: flashing lights, a heavy sound system, and a crowded dancefloor full of people feeling like the night belongs to them.
