Songfacts®:

  • Nick Jonas joined forces with Shania Twain for this holiday love song about giving and receiving. The yuletide ballad is part of a Christmas compilation EP from Island Records.
  • Though it's their first official collaboration, it's not the first time Jonas and Twain have performed together. Twain brought Jonas out for a duet of her song "Party For Two," at her comeback performance in April 2017 at the Stagecoach festival.
  • The studio pairing won't come as a complete surprise to fans as Nick Jonas has previously admitted Shania was a childhood celebrity crush.

"When I wrote this song a few months back with the Monsters & Strangerz (production and songwriting team) there was only one artist... one voice I wanted to sing it with, and thankfully she agreed to do it!" he gushed. "Thank you Shania Twain for making my Christmas. Hope you guys like it."
  • Twain has recorded several holiday tunes before, including a duet of "White Christmas" with Michael Bublé.
