Songfacts®:

  • "Bounce" is a characteristically loud Oliver Tree alternative-pop anthem that leaves no room for lyrical subtlety.

I'ma bounce you up and down
You'll be coming back, no doubt
Baby, please, don't make a sound
You're waking up my neighbors now

Tree pledges to deliver an unforgettable sexual experience to his partner, with the only condition being she avoids arousing the neighbors' attention.
  • Tree's relationship with his lover isn't solely about the physical aspect. He does care for her too.

I'll give you what you want, when you feel lost
Baby girl, just give me a call

Tree provides comfort and solace, offering his sweetheart whatever she needs when she feels adrift.
  • "Bounce" emerged from a collaboration between Oliver Tree and two British producers: Digital Farm Animals and Will Vaughan. The trio previously teamed up for Oliver Tree's joint single with KSI, "Voices."

In addition to their work on "Bounce" and "Voices," Digital Farm Animals and Will Vaughan boast an impressive array of joint credits, including Marshmello and Jonas Brothers' single "Leave Before You Love Me" and KSI and Lil Wayne's collaboration "Lose."
  • Tree debuted "Bounce" on June 10, 2023, at the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City. He released it as the first single from his third album, Alone In A Crowd, 10 days later.
  • Oliver Tree directed the video, where he gets a fresh new haircut and crowd surfs at a futuristic concert. As the video concludes, a title card proclaims, "Act 1: The birth of male model Cornelius Cummings."

According to press materials, Alone In A Crowd introduces viewers to a new character named Cornelius Cummings. He is depicted as a visionary fashion designer "who sets the runway for his latest body of work."
