Songfacts®:

  • Paris Hilton teams up with Meghan Trainor on "Chasin'," a kiss-off song where they give the guy the boot.

"I wrote this song with the intent of giving it to a special artist and never imagined in my wildest dreams Paris would be that icon to record it and do it justice," Trainor explained.

Hilton responded: "Meghan's writing paved the way for me to bring life to this track that represents self-love and confidence, and I am so happy we get to duet and call each other sisters!"
  • To promote the song, Hilton introduced the "That's Hotline," a play on her catchphrase, "That's Hot." By dialing 855-THTS-HOT, you could get a message from Hilton with advice on what to do if you're still hung up on your ex. Option 4 will get you "bad bitch affirmations," which include:

    I am free
    I am an infinie icon
I am hot, they are not

She adds: "In 2024, we want less toxic relationships, and more 'Toxic' by Britney Spears."
  • "Chasin'" was the second single from Hilton's album Infinite Icon, following her dance banger, "I'm Free." Hilton went 18 between albums, issuing her debut, Paris, in 2006, then finally releasing Infinite Icon in 2024. She was encouraged by Sia, who served as executive producer on the album.
  • The song was produced by Jesse Shatkin and the team of Banx & Ranx (Zacharie Raymond and Yannick Rastogi). They're listed as writers on the song along with Paris Hilton and Meghan Trainor. Shatkin, who has done a lot of work with Sia, was the main producer on the Infinite Icon album.
