  • The song was released to digital retailers on August 21, 2012 and sold over 8,000 copies in its first week. It was the top-selling digital single from a new female artist since May 2011 when Lauren Alaina released "Like My Mother Does."
  • Darling performed the song on the February 4, 2013 edition of ABC'S The Bachelor. Regarding the appearance, she told Billboard magazine. "It's a song about love, one that matches what The Bachelor is about. It matches the feel of the show."
  • Darling worked part-time as a model after moving from Iowa to Nashville. She appeared in that capacity in several music videos including Joe Nichols' "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" and Big & Rich's "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)."
