Songfacts®:

  • "On 2nite" is built around a sample of Montell Jordan's "Get It On Tonite" (1999), which was itself built on a sample of Claudja Barry's "Love for the Sake of Love" (1976). The sample chain is reflected in the writing credits, which include Montell Jordan, Brian Palmer, Darren Benbow, LeVar Wilson, Jorge Evers, and Juergen Korduletsch - the latter two being the writers of the original Claudja Barry song.
  • "On 2nite" is a late-night anthem aimed squarely at the dancefloor, centred on the excitement and desire of a club encounter. The lyrical premise echoes the Montell Jordan original: attraction, urgency, and the charged atmosphere of a night out, but filtered through the harder, bass-driven energy of 2026 UK garage rather than the smooth R&B of the late 1990s.
  • Silva Bumpa produced the track with additional production from Mark Ralph, the British producer and mixer known for his work with Clean Bandit, Years & Years, and Sigrid.
