This is the second single by American singer and producer, The-Dream, from his fourth studio album, Love IV MMXII. The song features Casha, a signee to The Dream's own Radio Killa Records. She made her first appearance on the singer-songwriter's mixtape 1977 singing a remake of Minnie Riperton's "Love, Stop Making a Fool of Me."
Phil Oakey recorded his vocals for "Don't You Want Me" in the studio bathroom. The recording was disrupted by guitarist Jo Callis reaching through an open window from outside to repeatedly flush one of the toilets.
