• The accompanying music video was shot by cinematographer O'Connor Hartnett, who is Petralli's Los Angeles neighbor, living about 20 feet from his studio. Having witnessed Petralli's daily creative process and family life firsthand, Hartnett stepped in to help meet a tight contract deadline.
  
  "I had spent all my budget making the music for the record, and it's in my contract that I have to make three music videos," Petralli told Relix. "So the day before the deadline, he just came over, lit the room, and said, 'I think we can do something cool. Let me shoot you, we'll run it down and just trust me on this.' I was supposed to upload the video at midnight the day before the song came out."
  
  The resulting AI-assisted video was delivered just an hour before the upload cutoff. Petralli was initially hesitant to use AI tools because they clashed with his personal ethics, but keyboardist Michael Hunter and drummer Matt Young convinced him that the dark, eerie visual textures fit the song's intense mood.
• 13 is a direct companion piece to White Denim's 2024 album 12. Petralli originally submitted a massive 20-song project titled Rejoice, but his label split the material, releasing 12 tracks as the album 12. Petralli subsequently wrote five new tracks, combined them with the eight remaining unreleased songs, and formed 13. He views the two records as complementary chapters of a larger body of work, calling 13 its "evil twin." Where 12 carries a lighter, more hopeful tone, 13 brings a sharper edge, packed with sarcasm, bite, and dark humor.
