  • I took a course in hallelujah
I went to night school for the blues
I took some stuff they said would cool ya
But nothing seemed to light my fuse
But it's all in the past
Like a check that's in the mail
She was a tall whiskey glass
I was an old hound dog that just loved to chase his tail
Until I met a blind man
Who taught me how to see
    A blind man
Who could change night into day
    And if I can
I'm gonna make you come with me
Because here comes the sun and we'll be chasing all the clouds away

I've had some lovers like a joy ride
Some things are never what they seem
My heaven's turned into a landslide
I thank God I woke up from the dream
Because here comes the sun and we'll be chasing all the clouds
    The way bees chase honey
And drink all the flowers dry
We'll be saving us a little money
And if that don't do it, yeah, I know the reason why
Don't make no sense lightin' candles
There's too much moonlight in our eyes
    Because here comes the sun
    Ain't no surprise
    Ain't no doubt about it
Gonna open up your eyes Writer/s: JOE PERRY, STEVEN TYLER, TAYLOR L. RHODES

  • Aerofool from Mississippi The song uses a ton of masturbation references and when the song first came out that was what the band claimed it was about.
  • Madeline Bruskin from Nj I met Steven Tyler yesterday. I told him blind man is my favorite song. He told me it was about a man who got his boots stolen and when the man found the guy who stole his boots he had no feet .. so the owner of the boots said .. you know what.. you can keep them. :)
  • Ivy from Springfield, NeTo be sure you get enough vitamin D, many experts say you need to take a supplement. Most multivitamin tablets contain 400 IU of vitamin D, which means taking one or two tablets a day will provide the current recommended amount of vitamin D for most people. You can also find vitamin D by itself in higher-dose tablets and in combination with calcium.
  • Steve from Gardner, MaI wonder where this information came from. I have a different story. I knew a guy that got into a very serious car accident that really impaired his vision and was good friends with the lawyer representing Aerosmith. Apparently the lawyer was going through some really tough times and my friend helped him through it all. As a result, the lawyer asked Steven Tyler to do him a favor and write a song about it....and Blind Man was the product. I haven't been in touch with my friend in over 5 years, but he had good stories about hanging out with Steven and Joe. If anyone can prove different as to the story behind this song, I'd be interested in hearing about it.
  • Homer from Springfield, KyI'm surprized no one has commented. This song is incredible. Great message too.
