  • Jane from Bay Area, FlThey played this song the day of Princess Diana's funeral. I remember watching it on the news. It was a very somber moment. It was a beautiful song tribute to a beautiful woman who was well-respected but misunderstood, too.

As others noted, I love this song, too. Listened to it recently since a family passed away. Cried but made me feel better, too. Beautiful song and lyrics.

  • Janie from Jefferson City, TnI love this song. It came out when my best friend of 20 years died in a terrible car wreck. Listening to this song always makes me smile to know that one day we will be together and I know he is shining down on me from heaven. So when this song came out it was like they wrote it about him. In loving memory of Chris.

  • Ben from Dallas, TxAside from awesome lyrics, the musical arrangement is so great. When this song came out, I would listen to it over and over again, just astounded at how well Mariah & Boyz II Men meshed well together to create cool harmonies & a unique R&B sound. Boyz II Men & Mariah were at the top of the game in '95 when this hit the charts, which may be a primary reason why the single debuted at #1 & is still, to date, the longest running #1 single of all time, but it has indeed stood the test of time. The lyrics and music can appeal to anybody in many situations.
