  • 6:30 winter morn
    Snow keeps falling, silent dawn
A rose by any other name
    Eva leaves her Swanbrook home
    Kindest heart which always made
    Me ashamed of my own
She walks alone but not without her name

    Eva flies away
    Dreams the world far away
    In this cruel children's game
There's no friend to call her name
    Eva sails away
    Dreams the world far away
The good in her will be my sunflower field

Mocked by man to depths of shame
    Little girl with life ahead
For a memory of one kind word
She would stay among the beasts
Time for one more daring dream
    Before her escape, edenbeam
We kill with her own loving heart

    Eva flies away
    Dreams the world far away
    In this cruel children's game
There's no friend to call her name
    Eva sails away
    Dreams the world far away
The good in her will be my sunflower field

    Eva flies away
    Dreams the world far away
    In this cruel children's game
There's no friend to call her name
    Eva sails away
    Dreams the world far away

  • Jane from Doyareallyneedtoknow, Australiatarja's vocals are what made Nightwish unique. Sure, Anette is a good singer but now the band's over all sound is completely different.
  • Mike from Evansville, InThe band doesn't sound right with Anette's vocals. To me, Tarja is what made Nightwish unique. Now they sound much more mediocre. When do you ever hear a hard metal band with opera vocals? Never. Anette's vocals are awesome, don't get me wrong. But nothing like Tarja. The band will never be as great as they used to be.
  • Sean from St.petersburg, FlI honestly Think Tarja had a better voice, for the More, Fantasy inclined music, now that the lyrics are more Realistic, brutality of life, Anette is better.
  • Jan from Antwerp, --Let's start a dangerous discussion here.
I've listened to the Dark Passion Play album so many times now, and I'm starting to like Anette's voice more than Tarja's.
Don't ge me wrong, I became a fan of Nightwish because of Tarja's voice but I think that the guys in the band couldn't have made a better choice about her replacement.
I know that a lot of die hard fans won't agree with me on this one, but I'm also curious to see what reactions I will get ...
