Mayday, every day, my day Could've had a heart attack, my heart We don't know anything, my heart We all want something fair, my heart Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Out of town, out of sight is my heart Queen of lies, today, my heart One more on the phone, my heart One more at the door of my heart Hey! Hey! Hey! Mean heart, cold heart, cold heart, cold heart, cold heart, cold heart, cold heart, cold heart Hey!
Douglas Fairbanks from Goleta, CaIf J.C. from Chicago's transcription is correct (and honestly who the hell knows?) then it seems likely that this song is about journalist Victoria Clark. In 1992, right around the time that Frances was born and the media decided to Yoko-Ono-ify Courtney Love, Kurt left a series of alternating-threatening-and-sexual- voicemail messages to this chick who was writing Love's biography and probably-definitely had some hurtful and maybe-kind-of-true-maybe-kind-of-bulls--t to say about her to the public. You can read the transcripts here http://bit.ly/37DPFnB
Justin Mcmullen from Richards Bay, ZarThere are lyrics I'm sure, but more than likely Kurt usually switched words out much like with the majority of songs they sang, it was a common thing to hear but "Tourettes" is one of the hardest songs, besides "Help Me I'm Hungry," to obtain valid lyrics.
J.c from Chicago, IlThe song also reminds me of what Cobain said about crows.
J.c from Chicago, IlOut of town, out of sight, is my heart. Queen of lies, everyday, in my heart. My heart, one more on the phone, my heart. One more at the phone, at my heart...
I would LOVE to know when he wrote this. I know it was a later song but that part of the song- it personally makes me think about his fighting on the phone with Courtney when she was touring with someone. I will leave it at that.
Nick from Fresh Meadows, Nykurt used to scream to the point where his voice cracks like his hitting puberty but recovers and keeps going this was nirvana's signature, if kurt doesnt yell like he has tourettes syndrome, then nirvana would have never came to be.....its a fact.....kurts voice was nirvana u know what he sounds like, i think his voice was one of the most distinct voices ever in rock music, nobody sounded like him i get goosbumps everytime i hear his voice peak for about 20 years now i never get bored. thats what he was here for to deliver us grunge music, tourettes is very grungy he could scream all he wants
Nick from Fresh Meadows, Nyi f-ing love it it dosnt have to have a meaning its music, 92 seconds of pure mayhem, i dunno id rather go to a concert and be at the edge of my seet i think that song is great, and i also think it has to do with a girl mean heart cold heart cold heeeeart does that ring a bell
Josh from Jackson, MiFor the people and this site who say this song has no lyrics i want you to listen to the song while reading these....Tourette's Lyrics
Mayday, every day, my day Could've had a heart attack, my heart We don't know anything, my heart We all want something fair, my heart
Hey! Hey, hey! Hey, hey!
Out of town, out of sight, is my heart Queen of lies, today, my heart One more on the phone, my heart One more at the door of my heart
Alexa from Johnstown, PaMark from NJ I think the lyrics under the song tittle are anagrams for the curse words f-ck sh-t p-ss.... i dunno thats what it looked like to me
Mark from Rockaway, NjYou know if you actually bought the album would know that there actually are no lyrics. in the section of the book where the lyrics are next to tourette's there are three nonsense words so obviously no lyrics are meant to be there
Roy from Granbania, MaKudos to Corey from Sydney I was about to correct that same comment when I read yours...I guess you just beat me to it. I'm just glad someone around here knows what they're talking about.
Gabriel from Laval, QcCobain changed every single lyric on some live shows. It still fit pretty well.
Corey from Sydney, AustraliaFor the person who claimed that Tourettes syndrome was a disorder where you have rage fits and scream things thats not true! my little sister has it. Its most common for them to do twitches, movements and small noises. yes, sometimes (VERY RARELY) people scream out curses, but rage fits? where did you get that from? their normal people except for they make little noises and twitches sometimes. look it up before you say something like that.
Frankie from Lynton, CaIn this song Kobain is telling us or "making fun of" how rock is changing into nothing by mumbling stupid stuff... i found it out when he said "moderate rock"
Rob from Bedford, In fits of intense rage and violent language. He might have thought to himself that he sounded like he had Tourette's when he sung the song.
Kuzma from Moscow, EuropeFeeling drunk and dizzy Kurt Cobbain has called this song "The eagle has landed". I believe this one`s about Tourette`s syndrome. A sort of mental disease.
Pam from Ladysmith, CanadaNick,PlainfielIl,If you listen softly you can hear Cobain screaming about his tourettes.
Mykal from Manteca, Cato Nathaniel from pittsburgh, at the beginning Kurt says, "Moderate Rock"
Joe from Lockport, IlWhen they did it live for the first time on Muddy Banks, it sounds like Kurt is screaming "Beat off" at the end.
Nathaniel from Pittsburgh, PaThe weird part of this song i think is the very beginning when there is a man talking. And I think that is the hardest part of the lyrics to understand.. so if anyone can figure out what he is saying pelase tell me.
Jordan from Victoria, CanadaI cant stand how everyone goes on about there being no lyrics and stuff. There are lyrics, and they actually arent that hard to understand. Scream them yourself and they sound pretty similar dont they. And, Jordan from Shokan, it is funny when people have tourettes.
Sam from Brampton, Canadai got the lyrics for the song...not sure if they're correct...jus try listening reel hard Moderate Rock.....
Mayday every day, in my heart. Could've had a heart attack, in my heart. We don't know anything, in my heart. We all want something fair, in my heart. Hey! Hey! Heyyyyyyy! (x3)
Out of town, out of sight, is my heart. Queen of lies, everyday, in my heart. My heart, one more on the phone, my heart. One more at the phone, at my heart Hey! Hey! Heyyyyyyyyyyy! (x2)
Matt from Millbrae, Cathe first time they ever played this, Kurt introduced the song as "the eagle has landed"
Rutgen from AntwerpTheir are lyrics of the song, but only of the In utero version, He made them up a shows and concerts
Tubby from Hexham, EnglandActually, there are no lyrics for this song. Kurt made them up on the spot, and they were different for every show.
Suraj from Mumbai, Indialove the song especially the guitar
Cedric Foust from Mcarthur, OhKurt is screaming alot in this song and screaming is pretty much the deffinition of tourettes disease so maybe..............
Hppyniss from Atlanta, United StatesTo all of those who don't understand the lyrics, you just have to L-I-S-T-E-N to the song and you will get them. I did. I'm sure some of these are wrong but this is what I have:
:MODERATE ROCK: May day every day, my day. Couldv'e had a heart attack, in my heart. We don't know anything, in my heart. Brandon from Saskatoon, CanadaI don't mind the tune of this song, but it's kinda annoying how you don't even understand any of the lyrics. ya, it's an alright song though
Nick from Plainfiel, IlThis song is basically Kurt yelling. Cool idea for a song.
Ariana Grande's collaboration with Zedd, "Break Free" came about after the Russian-German producer overheard Grande performing at a label showcase while he was backstage, and he mentioned to his team that he wanted to work with her.
