  • David Oz from Australia Everyday is a song about domestic violence. It's pretty scary. Don't get me wrong I love the band but some of their lyrics!! Wow.

The line you mentioned is because even though they are lovers behind closed doors, when they are together in public, they have to pretend they are " just good friends". At least that is what I think. I am in this exact situation myself.
