  • Blossoms are an English indie rock/synth-pop band from Stockport, Greater Manchester, best known for glossy, hook-laden anthems like "Charlemagne," "Honey Sweet," and "I Can't Stand It."
  • All five members grew up within about two miles of each other and attended the same secondary school, albeit in different classes, a proximity that helps explain the band's tight "five mates" chemistry.
  • Frontman Tom Ogden and drummer Joe Donovan first bonded on a school trip to Alton Towers, a friendship that would later form the backbone of Blossoms. The two wear matching necklaces featuring an actual house key lifted from Joe's house when they were teenagers, a mix of friendship talisman and souvenir from their misspent youth.
  • Keyboardist Myles Kellock joined later than the others and arrived under less-than-ideal circumstances. When he first joined the band, Kellock could only play just one chord, thanks to a broken wrist.
  • The band's name is geographical, not floral. Blossoms are named after The Blossoms, a pub on Stockport's Buxton Road where the band spent much of their early days hanging out, planning their future, and doing the sort of hanging around that eventually turns into a career.
  • Blossoms played their first show in April 2013 at Manchester's Night & Day Café on Oldham Street.
  • Their self-titled debut album went straight to #1 in the UK in 2016.
  • Bassist Charlie Salt's grandfather owned the Stockport scaffolding yard that doubled as the band's early rehearsal space and later became the image on the cover of their debut album.
  • In 2023, the band left their major-label deal with Virgin EMI and released their fifth album, Gary, independently on their own label, ODD SK Records.
  • Away from music, the band hosts the Blossoms Podcast, where conversations range from films and everyday life to long-running inside jokes.
  • Tom Ogden's choice of pub drink is Stella. "A nice lager," he told Euphoria magazine. "I don't like the fruity ones. I'll just have a classic lager."
