Songfacts®:

  • Charli XCX caps off her Brat album with this hyperpop banger. The high-octane track pulsates with the relentless rhythm of a never-ending party.
  • The song's title references the year's full cycle, alluding to a never-ending cycle of partying, all 365 days of year. This theme of a continuous loop connects back to the album's opener, "360." Additionally, "365" samples "360," further reinforcing this circular concept.
  • This isn't the first time Charli has played with timeframes in her music. On her 2019 self-titled album, "1999" has a sequel called "2099," creating a sense of boundless time travel.
  • Charli co-wrote "365" with her frequent producer, A.G. Cook. They recorded it with Canadian producer and songwriter Cirkut at Westlake Studios in West Hollywood. Cirkut's resumé also includes such pop anthems as Katy Perry's "Roar," Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball," and Ava Max's "Sweet But Psycho."
  • Charli debuted a snippet of the song in February 2024 during her Boiler Room warehouse set under the title "365 Party Girl."
