  • James Morrison got talked into putting brass onto the song when he wanted it to be upbeat and rocking. Once the single proved successful, the singer-songwriter's record company pressurized him into releasing more tunes along the same lines. "They wanted to sell me like Frank Sinatra, I always felt like I was being sold on the wrong angle, this guy who does ballads and love songs," he told HMV in 2022. "It gave me a career, and, when things are going well, you want to keep going so I wrote more ballads. I feel like I'm always underestimated, when people come to see me live I can blow them away."
