Songfacts®:

  • "Gorgeous" is Kane Brown's tender love letter to his wife Katelyn. It's more than just a tribute to her looks, although by his reckoning she's an "11 out of 10." The song celebrates Katelyn's character, heart, and mind as the true sources of her beauty. It's not about the surface, Brown insists, but the soul.

"'Gorgeous' is really a heartfelt song if you listen to it word for word," said Brown. "It's telling you it's not all about the stuff that you wear, ya know, or anything like that. It's just about the person you are and the beauty inside you that makes you gorgeous."
  • The acoustic ballad came to life with the help of songwriters Anthony Carter, Gabe Foust, Jaxson Free, and Gregory Aldae Hein.

Gregory "Aldae" Hein is a name you might recognize, having co-written major hits for artists like Jonas Brothers, Shawn Mendes and Miley Cyrus. His work for the latter includes her worldwide smash "Flowers."
  • Nashville mainstay Dan Huff produced the track. The musicians are:

    Jerry Roe: drums, tambourine
    Derek Wells: electric guitar
    Kris Donegan: electric guitar
    Justin Schipper: steel guitar
    Ilya Toshinskiy: acoustic guitar
    Jimmie Lee Sloas: bass
    Alex Wright: piano, synthesizer
    Josh Reedy: background vocals
