Songfacts®:

  • This is the lead single by American rapper Meek Mill, from his debut studio album Dreams & Nightmares. The song features Canadian recording artist Drake and R&B singer-songwriter Jeremih. It was originally released on Mill's 2011 mixtape, Dreamchasers 2.
  • The song has received backlash from various religious organizations with Pastor Jomo K. Johnson especially prominent in his protests. The Philadelphia churchman called for a boycott of Mill, citing the song as blasphemous. On July 11, 2012, Meek Mill responded by calling local radio station Hot 107.9's Q Deezy show and arguing his case with Johnson. The reverend is a part time rapper himself and once remixed Meek's "Tupac Back" into "Jesus is Back."
  • The video mixes footage from Mill's stint on Drake's Club Paradise tour with late night celebrating. Other rappers that make cameo appearances include J. Cole, Waka Flocka Flame and French Montana, with the latter spitting rhymes with Mill on the steps of Philadelphia Museum of Art, made famous by Sylvester Stallone's Rocky movie.
